Lac de la Haute-Sûre (Stauséigemeng or Lac de la Haute-Sûre) is a commune in north-western Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Wiltz, which is part of the district of Diekirch. The commune is named after the reservoir of the upper Sauer river.
Lac de la Haute-Sûre was formed on 1 January 1979 from the former communes of Harlange and Mecher, both in Wiltz canton. The law creating Lac de la Haute-Sûre was passed on 23 December 1978. Towns within the commune include Bavigne, Harlange, Mecher, Kaundorf, Nothum, and Tarchamps.
It's a old valley with a road and some old base of building. it's a U-shape lake, with a maximal depth of 30M, ideal for training, the low vis and the cold of the water makes the usual diver's, good ones! You better have a dry suit and a compas to find your way in! Possibilities to fill in Nitrox/Trimix and Boosetr for CCR at hotel Peiffer.
Tere are several dives sites along the lake: Villa of Lultzhausen, Stone bridge of Lultzhausen, Stone bridge of Insenborn, Stone bridge of Liefrange and the Ruins of Liefrange.
